In November 2020, the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua was hit by two Category 5 hurricanes in a period of 2 weeks.
Haulover, a Miskito community, is a town that was devastated and now that the water has gained ground, the population is more vulnerable to the increasingly strong storms.
Through the years I have been capturing the marches and socialization spaces of the Nicaraguan LGBTQ community, mainly in the city of Managua. It is my goal soon to expand this project to other parts of the country in order to have a visual memory of the experiences, struggles and expectations that the community goes through.
Some of the work was included in the 2019 book "DiscrimiNaciones" by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung
